See the map and nearby placesShowHide

This map shows the area FileDigr searches and covers. It is not an impact radius. Being near a site does not by itself mean a place is affected.

Text version of the map: Pell Harbor Borough (east); Marrow Creek Township (north); Example County line (south).

If more than one place matches

  • Selected: Tern Valley Township, Example County. Covered.
  • Not covered: Tern Valley Village, a different place with a similar name.

What you get

  • Weekly: FileDigr rereads the 2 checked sources once a week.
  • Weekly: the area briefing is rewritten after each reread.
  • A message is sent only when a qualifying change appears. The delay between a change and the message is to be decided before launch.
  • Messages are sent automatically. Nobody reads a message before it goes out, so each one says what kind of finding it is and what was not checked.
What a message can be aboutShowHide
What messages do not doShowHide
  • They do not promise to find a project before it is public.
  • They do not promise a warning before every meeting. A weekly reread can miss a hearing called on short notice.
  • They do not include research by a person, or follow-up with an agency, for you.
What we collect and countShowHide
  • If you sign up we keep your email address and the place you chose, and use them only to send these messages. We will not sell them or share them.
  • To learn what to fix, we count how many people visit, which areas get checked, and how many people sign up. We do not record what you type into the address box.
  • How to stop messages: a link in every message. To be built before the test opens.
Will it always be free?ShowHide

Not necessarily. FileDigr costs money to run. If that changes, we will tell everyone who signed up before anything changes, and nobody is asked for money without choosing it.

If a source stops updatingShowHide

If a source stops updating: people signed up for that area are told, and the briefing shows the lost coverage.
